Herb Munson has a good background
in the interpretation of the Bible. He has served as Pastor to four churches and has led numerous Bible studies over the years. He holds a B.S. in Biblical Literature from MultnomahSchool of the Bible (now called MultnomahBibleCollege
and Biblical Seminary) located in Portland, Oregon,
and has completed 32 hours of course-work at Western Seminary in that same city. He
also holds a B.A. in English Literature from New MexicoStateUniversity
in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Herb was ordained by the First
Baptist Church of Estacada, Oregon, (a Conservative Baptist Association
church). From 1989 to 1999, he helped establish and then pastor LakesideCommunityChurch
in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, a non-denominational congregation.
He also has a unique understanding
of the laymen’s point of view, having often been "just one of the fellows
in the pew". He has worked as a manager of two real estate offices, a
mortgage broker and a medical office manager. He currently resides in Truth or
Consequences, New
Mexico, where he is working with his son,
Dave, in the development of Saddleback Leather Company, LLC, an Internet business founded to support missions. David and his wife, Suzette,
reside in San
Antonio, Texas,
where they recently gave birth to their first child, a little girl they named, Sela. Dave and Suzette market the world’s coolest handmade

Herb and Carol have five children
(Jeanne, Patricia, Deborah, David and Jonathan) and thirteen grandchildren.
Their oldest daughter, Jeanne, and her husband, Tim, live in Keller, Texas,
near Fort Worth.
They have recently adopted a little 9 year old girl from Russia named
Maria, (bringing their family to 5 children). Patricia has four children and
also resides in Keller. She and her husband, Dennis, own a Fulfillment Shipping company (Chamberlain Shipping LLC)and handle all of Dave’s shipping. Deborah has three children and
resides in El Paso,
Texas. She
recently quit her job as a coordinator for TexasTechUniversity
to take on Saddleback’s customer service department. Jonathan, the youngest, served
in the Marine Corps where he was a Marine Security Guard at the American
Embassies in London,
England and Tunis,
Tunisia (North
Africa). He is currently attending WheatonCollege in Wheaton, Illinois. In the
picture below, he is the first Marine on the left of Secretary of State,
Condolisa Rice.
