Herb and Carol Munson

Who am I? Well, I am a husband, dad, grandpa and a guy who loves God’s Word. But, most of all, I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I have been a pastor of four churches and led several Bible studies over the years. I have two degrees, a BS in Biblical Literature from Multnomah University (formerly known as Multnomah School of the Bible) in Portland, Oregon. I also hold a BA in English Literature from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

I have been a truck driver, a lab courier, a manager of two real estate offices, a mortgage broker and a medical office manager. Currently, I am retired and Carol and I live in Keller, Texas ... located conveniently close to our five grown children and where our oldest son, Dave, operates his Saddleback Leather Company which he organized and runs for the specific purpose of showing the love of God to people and furthering God’s Kingdom. Carol and I also are blessed with sixteen grandchildren (10 girls and 6 boys), and eight great grandchildren.

Saddleback markets the world's coolest handmade leather products including luggage, briefcases, duffle bags, travel cases, backpacks, satchels and totes. They also offer several accessories: wallets and purses, iPad sleeves, gadget pouches, luggage tags, iPhone cases and more. Oh yeah … and when you visit his website … for a real reading treat don't miss Dave’s tribute to his black lab, Blue. Blue was Dave’s constant pal and bosom buddy during his single years during the founding of Saddleback.

Finally, one of my life goals has been to write commentaries on the Bible books of Genesis, Daniel, Matthew and Revelation. These four books are indispensable in getting the Bible’s full picture of end-time prophecy. The Genesis commentary I call First Work; the Daniel commentary is Kingdom Work; the Revelation commentary is Strange Work. Matthew is currently under construction and is titled King's Work.
